Lisa & Cayden | Mother/Son Fall Session

We were overjoyed to take on this sweet momma/son duo for a super fun fall session packed with pumpkins, tractor pulls, and lots of laughter. Lisa is a coworker turned lifelong friend at Taylor’s current job and from the moment she caught wind of her dreams to begin a photography career, she was signed up to get some pictures taken! We had originally aimed for a summer session but life happens and reschedules do too! We were so excited that we booked her as our first fall session and oh boy it did not disappoint!

We picked Cullipher Farm for our location for the perfect fall feel! There was a cotton maze, a sunflower maze, a pumpkin patch, a play area, and a tractor pull! Cullipher Farm also makes lots of delicious goodies that were for sale (you know we love a good excuse to buy local so of course we snagged some pumpkin butter, cider, and salad dressings, SO YUM!) While hurricane Matthew had taken its toll on the farm the weekend before our session, we still made the best of it! Everyone at the venue was so nice and friendly and we felt so incredibly welcomed to take pictures whenever and wherever we needed!

As always we like to use each session as a learning experience. We totally underestimated the timing of sunset as we were trying to adjust to fall. Our shoot started a little earlier than it should’ve but we had SO much fun killing time, running around, and letting Cayden play as we tried to wait for the sun to set a little.

Lisa and Cayden were so easy to work with! They are seriously the dream team! Lisa was all about getting into whatever Cayden wanted to do and Cayden was so sweet when we had some down time (hello, those tractor pictures will melt your heart)! Each of our sessions and clients are special to us in their own way and this session was absolutely no exception. Lisa, thank you so much for allowing us to capture you and your sweet nug.

We hope you enjoy scrolling through this warm, genuine, fall packed, session.

Xoxo
